Master your music

Mastering takes a good mix and helps it shine. It’s the glue that holds an album together. And it’s what makes your music ready for the world. Read the instructions below carefully, complete the form, and upload your tracks.

We’ll reach out to schedule a Zoom call to discuss rates, questions, and timelines. Rates vary by project, but generally average ~$100 USD per song.

Instructions for submitting Master:

Complete the form below.
All files must be in at least 44.1kHz format, and at least 24 bit.
All files must be either WAV or AIFF format. No MP3s.
All files must have at least -6db of headroom.
Please remove all limiters or compressors from your master bus (excluding reference masters).
Have all individual tracks edited with clean fades, as we aren't responsible for any cuts or pops within the master when the problem exists in the individual track.
Leave some room at the beginning and end of the song to give us some room to work with fades.
Do not send session files. Only WAV or AIFF files.
Send file/files via WeTransfer to dave.ransom@gmail.com.

Reference Track 1

Provide a commercial song you'd like us to reference as we master your music and tell us why, specifically, you selected this song (ex. balance between instruments, overall levels, style of production, energy level, etc...).

Provide a second commercial song you'd like us to reference as we master your music and tell us why, specifically, you selected this song (ex. balance between instruments, overall levels, style of production, energy level, etc...).

Track Order

List the tracks in the order you'd like them to appear on the project. For each, give the song name, file name, and if applicable, the ISRC code for each song you will be sending.

Additional Notes

Give notes about individual tracks as well as any overarching ideas. Not sure what to write? Here are some sample questions: What is your desired sound? Who are you trying to sound like? What do you want your master to be like? Dynamic? Loud? Brick-walled? Warm? Scooped? Punchy? Conservative? “Go-to-town?” Analog? Organic? Clarity? Muddy? How many people will this reach? How many people will hear this?
